President Bola Tinubu has described the Minister of Works, Engineer David Umahi, as one of the most outstanding and hardworking members of his cabinet, commending his commitment to delivering durable road and bridge infrastructure across the country.
The President made the remark on Saturday in a congratulatory message marking Umahi’s birthday, praising the former Ebonyi State governor for his hands-on approach to supervising road projects nationwide.
According to Tinubu, the Minister’s dedication to quality infrastructure has distinguished him in the administration, noting that Umahi regularly visits project sites rather than relying solely on reports from officials.
“Engineer Umahi has been one of my outstanding, hardworking Ministers passionate about the job and delivering durable roads and bridges that will last for about a century,” the President said.
Emphasizing that the Minister’s constant monitoring of construction works has helped ensure strict compliance with approved standards and specifications.
The President also charged Umahi to sustain the momentum in road construction and rehabilitation in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to improve the quality of life for Nigerians and stimulate economic growth.
The President wished the Minister good health and renewed strength as he continues to serve the nation.
