The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced that the Orientation Course for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members deployed to Niger State will now hold at its FCT Permanent Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja starting 7th July, 2026.

This announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday, 26th June, 2026, by the Director Information and Public Relations of the NYSC, Ms. Caroline Embu.

This change in venue, according to the NYSC, is necessitated by the on-going renovation of the Orientation Camp in Paiko, Niger State, which was damaged by a windstorm recently.

“Registration for Corps Members will commence Tuesday, 7th July and end midnight of Thursday, 9th July, 2026

“The Orientation Course will run for 21days. The Swearing-in Ceremony will hold on Thursday, 9th July, 2026, while the Closing Ceremony is scheduled for Monday, 27th July, 2026,” it said.

The Scheme urged Corps Members against night journeys and wishes all Course participants safe trips to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Abuja.

Recall that NYSC had postponed until a later date the orientation course of prospective Corps Members deployed to Niger State for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Service Year, following the extensive damage caused by a recent windstorm to the State’s camp.
