African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election, Omoyele Sowore, has responded to Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, following a social media exchange between the two.
Davido had referred to Sowore as “arindin” on social media, prompting the AAC candidate to hit back in a post on his official X handle.
Rather than responding directly to the singer, Sowore directed his response at Davido’s uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, questioning the governor’s academic history.
“The real arindin is your uncle, @AAdeleke_01, who had to go back and obtain the equivalent of a GED after he had already served as a Nigerian Senator,” Sowore said.
Sowore also alleged that Governor Adeleke supported President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, claiming that the decision was motivated by an attempt to protect the Adeleke family’s political interests in Osun State.
“The real arindin is your uncle who chose @officialABAT as his presidential candidate, apparently hoping that imbecilic political loyalty would allow your family to continue treating Osun State as a private estate to finance your extravagant lifestyle,” he added.
Abuja Times reports that the exchange comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Osun State expected to remain a significant political battleground.
Sowore, who is expected to contest the 2027 presidential election on the AAC platform, has remained an outspoken critic of the political establishment and has frequently used his social media platforms to challenge political leaders and public figures.
