FCT Minister Tasks APC Women on Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

By Becky Momodu

The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has tasked APC women in the Territory with mobilising grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Mahmoud made the call when the FCT APC Woman Leader, Hajia Farida Odangi Suleiman, and members of her executive committee paid her a courtesy visit in her office.

She urged the women to deploy their experience, commitment and grassroots networks to mobilise women across the nation’s capital for Tinubu’s re-election and the success of all APC candidates in the 2027 polls.

The Minister said the capacity and zeal required to deliver victory for the President were already available within the APC, but stressed the need for greater grassroots mobilisation, empowerment and inclusive engagement.

According to her, women remain critical to the success of the APC, adding that their effective participation and collaboration with men would be essential to achieving the Renewed Hope agenda and securing victory for the party from top to bottom in 2027.

Mahmoud also said the transformation taking place in the FCT under President Tinubu’s administration, with the support of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, was visible in infrastructure development and other sectors.

She, however, noted that government must continue to focus on improving the lives of residents across the six Area Councils.

The Minister assured the APC women leadership that her office was ready to work with them to ensure that women, irrespective of political affiliation, were carried along in efforts to strengthen the party and consolidate its support base ahead of the 2027 elections.

On her part, the FCT APC Woman Leader pledged the commitment of women across the Territory to mobilise massive support for President Tinubu and all APC candidates.

She acknowledged the projects and interventions of the Tinubu administration in the FCT, but stressed that stronger grassroots engagement would be required to translate the achievements into electoral support in 2027.

She called for town hall meetings, community engagements and sustained interaction with residents across.
