Following the successful conclusion of its National Convention, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has presented Certificates of Return to newly elected members of its National Working Committee (NWC).
The Certificates of Return were formally presented on Thursday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja by the APC Central Coordination Committee, led by former Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari.
Speaking after receiving his Certificate of Return, the National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, expressed deep appreciation to the committee for organizing what he described as an “excellent, elegant, transparent, and one of the most successful conventions ever held in Nigeria.”
He commended the dedication and commitment of the organizers, noting that their efforts have set a new benchmark for internal party processes and democratic conduct.
Yilwatda also extended his gratitude to the party leadership and members nationwide for the confidence reposed in the new NWC, assuring that the team would not take the opportunity to serve for granted.
“As we assume our responsibilities, we are fully committed to upholding the values, unity, and strength of our great party. We will work diligently to consolidate on existing gains and ensure continued progress and excellence,” he said.
He further highlighted the peaceful and litigation-free nature of the convention, describing it as a reflection of the party’s maturity, internal cohesion, and commitment to democratic ideals.
According to him, sustaining such a standard in future conventions remains a collective responsibility of all party stakeholders.
The APC chairman also expressed heartfelt appreciation to party members across the federation for their loyalty, sacrifices, and unwavering support, praying for divine reward upon them.
“On behalf of the newly inaugurated National Working Committee, I welcome all members and reaffirm our commitment to inclusiveness, unity, and progress. We will continue to engage, mobilize, and strengthen the party at all levels,” he added.
Yilwatda called on members to remain steadfast and united, urging them to serve as proud ambassadors of the party in their respective communities.
“Now is the time for renewed dedication. Wherever you are, stand firm, promote the ideals of the party, and represent it with confidence and conviction,” he said.
The presentation of Certificates of Return marks the formal commencement of duties for the new NWC, setting the stage for the party’s next phase of political engagement and organizational consolidation ahead of future electoral activities.
