The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has commissioned 36 units of two-bedroom staff apartments at Auta Ba Lefi in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, reaffirming its commitment to staff welfare as a key driver of organisational excellence.
The housing project was commissioned by the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, alongside the Esu of Karu and Chairman of the Karu Traditional Council, His Royal Highness Dr. Babba Panya Luka, the Esu Kodepe, His Royal Highness Joseph Sabo, the Deputy Chairman of Karu Local Government Council, Hon. Ibrahim Bulus, and other stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, the Corps Marshal emphasised that prioritising the welfare of personnel remains central to the Corps’ vision of building a motivated, productive, and efficient workforce.
He noted that the provision of decent accommodation for personnel reflects the FRSC’s people-first approach, stressing that when the welfare of staff is adequately addressed, improved performance and service delivery naturally follow.
The commissioning of the 36 housing units marks another milestone in the Corps’ efforts to enhance the living conditions of its personnel while strengthening institutional capacity to deliver on its road safety mandate across the country.
Abuja Times reports that the event attracted traditional rulers, government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders who commended the initiative and described it as a significant investment in the well-being of FRSC personnel.
