The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Thursday, July 9, 2026, as the official passing-out date for members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream One corps.
The announcement was contained in a press statement issued on June 24, 2026, by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Scheme, Ms. Caroline Embu.
According to the NYSC management, activities leading up to the passing-out exercise commenced on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, across the country.
The programme of events includes job advisory and counselling sessions organised by the NYSC in collaboration with relevant agencies, registration and clearance of corps members by Local Government Inspectors, as well as the signing of final clearance documents by Zonal Inspectors.
The passing-out exercise will also feature the distribution of Certificates of National Service to eligible corps members in all Local Government Areas nationwide.
Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members and wished them a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise.
He urged them to remain good ambassadors of the Scheme and to uphold the core values of the NYSC in their future endeavours and relationships after service.
The NYSC said the passing-out ceremony marks the successful completion of the mandatory national service year for the corps members, who are expected to contribute positively to national development in their respective fields.
