The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a stern warning to the public regarding a fraudulent recruitment advert circulating on social media.
Abuja Times reports that a recruitment advert making the rounds on social media purports that INEC is recruiting for various positions and directs interested applicants to https://www.inecrecruitment.com.
INEC, in a statement on Wednesday by Rotimi Oyekanmi, CPS to the Chairman, clarified that this recruitment advert is entirely false and the mentioned website is not affiliated with the Commission.
Nigeria’s elections management body stated that it does not have a recruitment portal by that name or any similar designation, stressing that it is not currently recruiting for any positions.
INEC urged the general public to disregard the misleading advert and be cautious of the deceitful tactics employed by the perpetrators.
“The Commission hereby calls on the public to disregard this fraudulent call for applications. The Commission IS NOT recruiting. Do not fall victim to the antics of criminal elements”, it said.
