The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s internal security framework through sustained institutional reforms and improved operational efficiency.
The minister gave the assurance at a high-level stakeholders’ engagement focused on advancing reforms within the ministry and its agencies.
Tunji-Ojo said the ministry remained resolute in its mandate to safeguard Nigeria’s internal security architecture through policies and reforms designed to enhance service delivery and align with national development priorities.
He stressed that the ministry would continue to strengthen institutional capacity, modernise operations and ensure impactful outcomes that directly improve public confidence in internal security institutions.
According to him, the ongoing reform efforts are aimed at repositioning the ministry and its agencies for greater effectiveness in addressing emerging security challenges while supporting broader governance reforms under the Federal Government’s agenda.
He noted that improving efficiency across critical agencies under the ministry was essential to ensuring responsive service delivery and sustaining public trust.
