HallowMace Foundation Africa, a media and advocacy organization, has called on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to withdraw the pending court case against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
In a statement on Wednesday jointly signed by Amb. Anderson Osiebe; Executive Director and Amb. Oguh Hyginus John; Head, Public Communications Desk, the Foundation noted that withdrawing the court case would enhance unity, cooperation, and effective functioning within the Red Chamber.
Spark News Naija reports that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, resumed duties on Tuesday 23rd September, 2025 after serving six months suspension for violating Senate Rules of seating arrangement.
HallowMace Foundation warmly welcomed the decision by the National Assembly leadership to unseal Senator Natasha’s office.
This development enables her to resume her duties, marking a significant step towards restoring normalcy and productivity within the legislative arm.
“While applauding the National Assembly leadership for demonstrating maturity amidst pending court issues, we believe that for absolute peace to reign and ensure seamless administrative synergy, Senator Natasha should consider withdrawing the court case.
“This gesture would promote unity, cooperation, and effective functioning within the Red Chamber.
“As the nation’s legislative arm moves forward, we urge all parties to prioritize national interest over sentiments. The lessons learned from this experience should inform future actions, fostering a more harmonious and productive legislative environment” the statement read.
