Candidates who sat for the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), have commended the conduct of the exercise, describing it as smooth, organised, and largely hitch-free.
Some of the candidates, who spoke after the examination on Friday 17th April, 2026, praised officials of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for their professionalism and responsiveness throughout the process.
A first-time candidate, Muhammad Ahwa, told our Correspondent who monitored the exercise
at Kogo Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre in Bwari Area Council of Abuja, that the officials were attentive and supportive from start to finish.
He noted that candidates received prompt assistance whenever issues arose, with staff maintaining a calm and helpful attitude.
“They responded to us quickly and attended to every student without showing any frustration. They were supportive throughout the exam,” he said.
Ahwa, who intends to study medicine, also commended the centre’s facilities, noting that the internet connectivity was stable and the environment conducive for the examination.
“The internet was smooth, and the centre was well conditioned. Kudos to JAMB,” he added.
Another candidate, Abraham Israel, also a first-time UTME writer, described the overall experience as positive, though he admitted that some questions were challenging.
“The exam went well, but some questions were hard. We thank God we did our best and we are trusting God for good results,” he said.
However, Israel urged JAMB to consider setting more straightforward questions in future examinations to enable candidates perform better.
