The Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Nigeria, urging citizens to uphold the values of sacrifice, unity, and tolerance beyond the Ramadan period.

Marking the end of the holy month, Issa-Onilu said the discipline, devotion, and self-restraint demonstrated during Ramadan should serve as a guide for everyday conduct and interactions among Nigerians.
He stressed the importance of collective prayers at a time when the nation continues to grapple with security challenges, calling on the faithful to seek divine intervention for enduring peace and stability.
The NOA boss also encouraged Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence regardless of religious, ethnic, or political differences, noting that national unity remains key to overcoming the country’s current difficulties.
Issa-Onilu expressed sympathy to families affected by recent bomb explosions in Borno State, praying for the repose of the victims and strength for their loved ones in this difficult time.
He assured citizens that the Federal Government remains committed to addressing insecurity, adding that ongoing efforts are beginning to yield gradual progress.
The DG further appealed to Nigerians to support security agencies by remaining vigilant and providing timely information that could help prevent crime within their communities.
He concluded by urging Muslims to celebrate the Eid in moderation and extend kindness and generosity to the less privileged, in line with the teachings of Islam.
