The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed reports suggesting that the dates scheduled for its 2027 Primary Elections have been altered, insisting that the timetable earlier released by the party remains valid.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, stated this in a press statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, describing the reports circulating on social media and other communication platforms as false and misleading.

According to the party, the clarification became necessary to dispel confusion among party members, aspirants and the general public over the conduct of the primaries ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The APC reaffirmed that the primary elections would hold on the previously announced dates, beginning with the House of Representatives primaries on Friday, May 15, 2026.

The Senate primaries are scheduled for Monday, May 18, while the State House of Assembly primaries will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

The party also fixed Thursday, May 21, 2026, for the Governorship primaries, while the Presidential primary election is expected to hold on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The ruling party urged members and stakeholders to disregard contrary information and rely only on official communications from the APC.
