…Says APC has infiltrated the Labour Party
The Eastern Union (EU), a Civil Society Organization (CSO) that protects the interests of old Eastern Nigeria region, has welcomed the defection of Mr. Peter Obi, the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, to the African Democratic Congress(ADC).
Recall that Mr. Peter Obi on December 31 2025, officially joined the ADC, a move that generated mixed reactions from supporters and detractors.
The EU in a statement signed by Hon. Charles Anike, it’s National President, hailed Mr. Peter Obi for initiating the bold step and early decision, describing it as necessary and timely adjustments by party leadership.
According to EU, “the Labour Party has over the period been infiltrated by the APC dangerous viruses.
“The Bola Tinubu’s mischievous and die hard political allies has planted many political moles in the Labour Party, just as they did in the PDP, especially after the overwhelming performance of the Labour Party through the Obi candidacy.
“The unbelievable performance of the party through the Obi candidacy has kept the APC restless and sleepless, after they connived with the very corrupt INEC Chairman to outrightly stolen the people’s mandate given to the Labour party. Ofcourse the only option left for the APC is to at all costs and by all means destroy the major oppositions. As a major strategy they believe that the only way forward in trying to sustain their stolen mandate is to create and sure crisis in the major opposition parties.
“By that they have successfully planted political moles like Wike in PDP and Abure in the Labour Party. The duo and their likes have been well equipped and fortified with the back up of highly corrupt judiciary.
“The assignment of those recruited enemies of the people is purely to ensure un-resolveable crisis in the major opposition parties.
“In the circumstance, Nigerian masses have been waiting seriously for this move by the people’s candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and now by his defection today, the people’s hope has been revived and rekindled.
“The EU by this courageous and well calculated move by Mr. Obi will commence in ernest to mobilize and sensitize fellow Nigerians on the need to gear up once again and renew their resolved to reclaim back their Country from political despirados and bandits who has in the past 12 years grabbed power and enslaved the people in their father’s land.
“The Obi defection is not only a welcome development but a multiplied encouragement to Nigerians and dead blow to the APC for the New Year.
“Our energies have been revived and the political atmosphere will surely and soon change. We had earlier advised Tinubu to start locating the exit doors out of the Presidential Villa but he’s still hoping and believing that it will be business as usual.
“But unknown to them that Nigerians, especially the wounded youths are warming up to shock Tinubu and his APC criminals come 2027.
“The defection of some state Governors is nothing but empty political threats and another APC political miscalculation, craftly plotted to bamboozle Nigerians for another round of server glitches.
“We are going to ensure that more Nigerians troops out more than ever before, to vote out the plague(APC) and all its criminal elements come 2027 elections. The turn out of voters this time around will be doubled, to overwhelm the rigging calculations of the APC.
“Peter Obi’s defection to the ADC is the best New Year gift to Nigerians and we are euphoric. And just like the American soldiers Christmas gift to the terrorists on the Christmas day, with the Mr. Peter Obi’s defection on the eve of the New Year, Nigerians’ hope for socio-political and economic freedom has been revived, renewed and restored to face the Tinubu exploitative taxation new year gift to Nigerians to start 2026.
